Dulwich raises money for new court

New floodlights and resurfacing of courts was the aim for North Dulwich TC. Huge efforts from fundraisers and the Bright Ideas for Tennis team made it possible and now the club host two clay courts with floodlights. The impression from members and coaches is very positive and feedback shows that court usage and a team play has increased. Another very positive factor is that the after school programmes has bene extended throughout the winter time as the courts are now safe to play on and the floodlights make it possible to coach after dark.

More success in Lancaster

Another success story!

This time in Lancaster. ‘In previous years, some members of our Committee had to spend hours sweeping the courts to remove the mud before play could start. This tended to be done only for organised social and coaching sessions. Now that this is no longer needed, individuals can come down to play informally at any time without preparation and we are certainly aware of this happening on a regular basis - for example parent members and their children during the recent half term week.’

The newly resurfaced courts at Pensford TC have been very well received among members and coaches. The adults are already using the courts more and the club hopes to introduce new teams in the future.
