Club Case Study | Raynes Park Tennis Club

Legacy Coaching

With the funds raised RPRLTC hopes to:

  • Run a series of cardio-tennis sessions for existing and new members to entice new players into the club and improve overall fitness.
  • Create a strong link with one or more local primary schools in the immediate area with the offer of free junior coaching over a 6-week period, to be held either at the club or in the school.
Raynes Park

It was a grey day, but the visit of Chris Eaton and James Auckland, as part of Danny Sapsford’s Tennis Circus, cheered us all up no end. Chris and James worked tirelessly throughout the day, running a junior session, a session on team tactics for the Ladies Team, adult groups and some ad-hoc serve and volley clinics.

All this resulted in an enormous amount of tennis and a lot of new techniques to practice and the day was rounded off by an exhibition mixed doubles set with two of our ladies league members. A fastest serve competition, a raffle, quizzes and sale of refreshments all helped to raise funds.

We had a hugely enjoyable day, improved our tennis and raised funds to help promote tennis and our club. Win-win all round!
